Melissa Saulog, President

Melissa Saulog is the College Counseling Assistant at Lick-Wilmerding High School. She is a native of San Francisco and earned her B.A. in Communications from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR. While at Lewis & Clark College she co-chaired the Ray Warren Multicultural Symposium at Lewis & Clark College and is familiar with the college application process from working as an intern in their Admissions Office. Melissa is dedicated in supporting and empowering youth, and promoting diversity in higher education. Melissa is currently pursuing her MS in Counseling at San Francisco State University.

Bernard Camarao, Director of Marketing

Bernard is a seasoned professional with over 14 years of consumer marketing experience working with family-friendly brands such as DreamWorks, National Geographic and The Learning Company. Bernard has been an active member of the Asian-American creative community contributing to Maganda Magazine and The Monsoon Journal. He also publishes a blog (downsizeddad.blogspot.com) sharing his experiences as a dad in the new economy and the expanding global community. A graduate from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Economics, Bernard enjoys practicing Kali martial arts and playing Wii Sports Resort with his son.

Elaine R. Serina, Ph.D., Founder and Advisory Member

Dr. Serina founded Pinay Aspirations in 2006 and remained as President for four years.  She has been an active member of the community, having served as President-Elect for the Filipina Women's Network, as Vice-President of the UC Berkeley Engineering Alumni Association, on the Advisory Council of the Daly City Youth Health Center, and currently co-authoring Step-Ins, a collection of stories and photographs of Filipino American women. Dr. Serina is also a Principal of Talas Engineering, Inc., a nationally-recognized engineering consulting firm. She received her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley.
