2021 Scholarship Recipient

Pinay Aspirations was excited and honored to award the 2022 Pinay Aspire Scholarship to Desiree, who is a current freshman at UC Merced.

2020 Scholarship Recipients

Pinay Aspirations awarded two scholarships this year! Hannah is a freshman at UC Merced and Jewel is a freshman at the University of San Francisco. We are proud to call these two young women Pinay Aspire Scholars.


2019 Scholarship Recipient

Pinay Aspirations Leadership celebrated our 12th annual scholarship recipient, Hannah, during a nice brunch with her father in 2019. The Pinay Aspirations board members talked with Hannah about her plans to start at University of Seattle and majoring in nursing. Hannah suffered from Hypopigmented Mycosis Fungoides for many years and has found a passion for helping others in medical settings as many did for her. While in high school Hannah was involved with the dance team, honors program, and religious youth groups. For Hannah being Filipina-American means "being proud of the Filipino culture, being grateful and always trying hard to succeed."


Celebrating 10 Years

Pinay Aspirations celebrated its 10 Year anniversary at a.Muse Gallery in San Francisco on July 31st. Thank you to our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and everyone who attended the event to support Pinay Aspirations. Photos from the event can be found here.

2018 Scholarship Recipient

Pinay Aspirations awarded the 2018 Pinay Aspire Scholarship Award to Kaitlin who is now attending the University of California, Los Angeles. We admire her resilience and drive and know she will do amazing things in the future.

2017 Scholarship Recipients

Pinay Aspirations awarded the 2017 Pinay Aspire Serina-Calaguas Award to two amazing pinays Amber & Isabela. We wish them all the best and look forward to mentoring them during their first year at UC Davis and New York University.

2015 Scholorship Winner

Pinay Aspirations awarded the 2015 Scholarship to Chantal, pictured below with members of the Pinay Aspirations Board.

Pinay Aspirations awarded the 2014 to Jacqueline, pictured below with her father and members of the scholarship committee. We were inspired by her story and look forward to mentoring her during her first year in college!

PIA 12th Annual Holiday Haute Couture Fashion Show Fundraiser

Members of the Pinay Aspirations Board, Pinay Aspire scholars, and our amazing new student intern attended Philippine International Aid's (PIA) 12th Annual Holiday Haute Couture Fashion Show Fundraiser on Sunday, November 10, 2013. We enjoyed seeing Barge Ramos' beautiful line of work and are glad to know that 10% of the proceeds from the event are going to be used to aid those affected by Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines. Two of our scholars were able to volunteer for the event. It was a great way to thank our fiscal sponsor for all their support over the years and we look forward to attending the event for years to come!

Annual Charity Golf Tournament

The Partnership for Pre-Professional Pilipinos (P4) at UC Berkeley hosted their
4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, April  6, 2013 at Tilden Golf Course. All proceeds from the event were donated to Pinay Aspirations.

2012 Scholarship Winner

The Pinay Aspirations Scholarship Committee is honored to award Arielle from San Francisco the 2012 Pinay Aspire Scholarship. We wish her continued growth and success in college!
